Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of wines do you stock?

We work with small, independent, female producers who make wines with care and intention. The focus is on thoughtful farming, minimal intervention in the cellar, and wines that feel expressive rather than overworked.

Currently, our focus is on wines from Spain and Italy.

What does “low intervention” mean?

It means the winemaker takes a lighter approach, only using natural sulphites that occur from the grapes with nothing or minimal added to significantly reduce the total sulphites. It also means no/ minimal filtration or processing and so the wine stays closer to its natural character and sense of place.

Do the wines contain sulphites?

Yes. All wine contains some sulphites, even naturally. Many of our wines have no added or minimal added sulphites, but this varies by bottle. Some sulphites will always be required to preserve the wine and ensure the wine has drinkability.

Most of our wines have 100x less sulphites than a dried apricot

Are the wines organic or biodynamic?

Many of our producers farm organically, regeneratively or follow biodynamic principles, though not all are formally certified (as this is not customary in these regions). We focus more on real practices than labels.

Are the wines vegan?

Some are, some aren’t. If this is important to you, check the product page or drop us a message before ordering.

I’m new to this style of wine. Will I enjoy it?

If you’re curious and open to something a little different, you probably will. These wines are often lighter, fresher, and more expressive than supermarket bottles, without feeling complicated or intimidating.

How do I know what to order?

If you’re not sure where to start, our Trio Boxes are a good entry point. They’re curated selections of three wines, grouped by a theme or mood, with simple tasting notes to guide you.

Can I swap bottles in a curated box?

Our boxes are designed as a set, so swaps aren’t usually possible. If you have specific needs, feel free to reach out and we’ll see what we can do.

How should I store the wines?

Keep them somewhere cool, dark, and away from heat. A cupboard is fine. Letting the bottles stand upright for a day or two after delivery helps them settle.

When should I drink them?

Most of our wines are ready to enjoy now. Some will benefit from a little time. We’ll always share guidance on the product page or in the tasting notes.

Do you deliver across the UK?

We deliver to most mainland UK addresses. If you’re outside this area, get in touch and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times depend on your location and when you place your order. Estimated delivery windows are shown at checkout.

What if a bottle breaks in transit?

If anything arrives damaged, send us your order number and a photo and we’ll sort it out.

What if the wine is faulty?

If a bottle is corked or oxidised, let us know and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.

Can I return wine I don’t like?

Because wine is a perishable product, we can’t accept returns for opened bottles unless there’s a fault.

Can I send wine as a gift?

Yes. You can add a gift note at checkout and we won’t include pricing in the package.

Will sold-out wines come back?

Sometimes, but many of the wines we work with are made in small quantities and may not return.

Do you offer subscriptions?

Not yet, but it’s something we’re working towards.

Is there an age restriction?

You must be 18 or over to purchase alcohol in the UK.
